Feeding your Soul

Breakfast, some like it extravagant while others like something smaller in the morning.

I’m the latter and have searched for a breakfast meal that I could enjoy, would satisfy me, and provide some of the energy I know I will need for my day.

As someone who is very active and exercises about 5 to 6 times a week, skipping a meal does no good to help my body recover and keep up my physique.

My friend shared this overnight oat recipe with me and it has changed my life! Ok maybe not that drastic but you catch my drift. This recipe is simple and delicious! You can easily prep it in containers for your week and grab them each morning, either enjoying them at home or taking them on the go.

This overnight oat recipe provides 9.6 grams of protein, 41.1 grams of carbs, and 9.6 grams of fat. Protein helps with building and repairing muscle, fat is necessary for hormone production and the brain uses carbs to function meaning carbs and fat provide the body with energy.

These three main macronutrients of protein, carbs, and fat are what we need to sustain our growth, metabolism, and to overall help our bodies function properly.

Give this recipe a try and let me know how you like it!
